Coming up with this poem wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. The poem that we wrote were true feelings coming from us and I learned that writing a poem about true feelings isn't as hard as coming up with something random. Me and my partner worked great together and had a pretty good performance. I had fun working on this little poem project.
~Loss of a Loved One
It was a Friday morning
When I woke up and saw
He wasn't in bed
And I thought about where he was
Everyone was as quiet as a mouse
I was afraid to ask
Parents were gone to the hospital
My sister was by my side
It wasn't until that night
That I heard he was gone
Just like the wind, fast and quiet
Now I'm getting older as time passes by
And I look back and think
Why didn't I do something
To keep him home that night?
Mom told him not to go out
He said don't worry Ill be back
He got out that door one last time
And never came back
There will always be a spot
In my heart for him
And I will always remember
The good times we had together.
